Surrealism really took it's place in the 1924 when Andre Breton issued the First Surrealist Manifesto. The idea of Surrealism rest upon the dreams, the fantasies, and the obsessive symbols. It seems Surrealism was also interested in the sexual ideas. Most Surrealist artist painted pictures that are dreamlike, and it seems difficult. The idea of painting a dream, is like trying to paint a moving object. A dream is constantly moving and transforming, shifting times. Surrealist artist try to capture those movements, those dreams.
